Sesshin
A sesshin , which literally means “touching the heart-mind,” is a period of intensive meditation through the practice of zazen, held at the Sanboji Zen monastery.
Sesshin means union of minds, it is the practice where all meditators become a single manifestation of realization.
During the year, intensive retreats are held - almost every month - which generally last from three to seven days and are recommended for those who already have experience of meditation.
An opportunity to get to the heart of Zen.
zenkai
An appointment to practice and begin to learn about Zen meditation (Zazen) and listen to the teaching of the Dharma. Look at the dates at the end of this article!
Every month, in a different city in Italy, we hold short retreats, or Zenkai.
Short retreats consist of sitting meditation sessions [Zazen], followed by walking meditation sessions [KinHin]. This is followed by the discourse [Teisho] of the Master or Dharma Teacher.
A step towards oneself and towards awakening.
