The fundamental inspiring principles of the Zen Center of Milan are:
The Zen Center of Milan is founded on two fundamental principles:
1. The authentic transmission of the Dharma
The practice is rooted in the tradition of the Buddha's teachings, passed down legitimately and uninterruptedly from generation to generation. A living lineage, based on a direct and personal communion between master and disciple, which keeps the heart of the teachings intact.
2. Social commitment and interdependent awareness
Zen at the L20 Center is not just an individual practice, but also a path to collective transformation. Educational and social commitment are integral parts of the spiritual journey: bringing Zen into society means contributing to a shift toward a conscious, ethical, and interdependent life with all beings.
Registration and Membership
Membership in the Association is free and open to all—Italian and foreign citizens—who recognize themselves in the fundamental principles set forth above.
The Zen Center of Milan is affiliated with the UBI – Italian Buddhist Union , recognized by the Ministry of the Interior under an agreement with the Italian state. It is also affiliated with the EBU – European Buddhist Union.
